What Is hanit Plastic Furniture Made From?
hanit plastic furniture is made from 100% recycled mixed plastics, mostly post-consumer polypropylene and polyethylene reclaimed from household packaging waste. Each piece is coloured all the way through rather than surface coated, so scratches never reveal bare material underneath.
The standard colour is grey, with brown, black, green, blue and red also available. Because the colour comes from the manufacturing process itself, shades may vary slightly, and grey products in particular can show a little more colour variation than other finishes.
| Colour | Nearest RAL Shade |
|---|---|
| Grey (standard) | RAL 7000 / 7005 / 7023 |
| Brown | RAL 8011 / 8017 |
| Black | RAL 7016 / 7021 |
| Green | RAL 6005 / 6028 |
| Blue | RAL 5001 / 5007 |
| Red | RAL 3016 / 3031 |
The muted, natural colouring may lighten slightly over time outdoors. This is normal for this type of recycled material and doesn’t affect how the furniture performs.
